AMPYR has lodged an application with the NSW Planning Secretary to extend approved construction hours at the Bulabul Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Stage 1 project near Wellington, NSW.
The proposed changes include extending Saturday construction hours to 7:00am – 6:00pm and introducing a limited Sunday work window from 8:00am – 1:00 pm.
| Current Approved Hours | Proposed Hours | |
|---|---|---|
|
Monday – Friday |
7:00 am – 6:00 pm |
No change |
|
Saturday |
8:00 am – 1:00 pm |
7:00 am – 6:00 pm |
|
Sunday |
No work |
8:00 am – 1:00 pm (low-noise activities only) |
The proposed extension would further assist in managing the construction programme, helping to reduce the overall duration of the construction phase and allowing the site to reach completion and commissioning sooner.
Measures will continue to be implemented to minimise impacts, including the use of low-noise equipment, careful scheduling of activities, and maintaining existing acoustic controls on site.
If approved, Sunday works will be limited to low-noise activities only, with additional measures including advance notification and real-time noise monitoring.
