AMPYR is proposing to develop a state-of the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in the Gippsland town of Bunyip, in Victoria designed to store energy for use during peak times.

The proposed project will strengthen energy reliability and grid stability during periods of peak demand, support local jobs and training, and deliver lasting value for the surrounding community while meeting all local and state regulatory and safety requirements.

Wimpole Battery is located on low-grade agricultural land along the Princes Highway in Bunyip North, within the Cardinia shire in Victoria.

The project will connect to a purpose built substation at the project location.
